CONGRATULATIONS to our PhD students: Jack Tseng, and Ligang Zhang, they both recently received the examiners’ reports with positive outcomes. All my best wishes for their future work, and it’s been a pleasure supervising both of these students! Jack’s research is on how users search Web images, and Ligang is on how to recognise emotions from real-world videos. Check out our publication lists for their papers.
Jack Tseng is currently overseas, celebrating the birth of his second daughter. Definitely a great reason to celebrate, and congratulations to his efforts in finishing his thesis while caring for his first daughter.
Ligang Zhang was recipient of ”OUTSTANDING HDR STUDENT FOR January 2012” awards. - awarded by Science and Engineering Faculty, and is currently a Postdoctoral Research Fellow with our Lab, working on CRC Rail Innovation and CRC Smart Services Projects.
