Position:Phd Candidate
Background:Kinley is a PhD candidate at the school of Information Systems, Faculty of Science and Engineering, Queensland University of Technology. He holds a Master degree in Information Technology (IT) from the same university. Prior to his current study commencement, he was a lecturer in the Department of Information Technology at the Paro College of Education, Royal University of Bhutan, Bhutan, where he taught IT units to the undergraduate students for more than three years. Kinley has work or working at QUT as IT helpdesk consultant, research assistant, and tutor. Kinley is also actively involved with scholar activities. He is a program committee for FLAIRS-25 Special Track Cognition and AI, 23-25 May 2012, Florida, USA. He was also a paper reviewer for a number of International conferences, such as Pacific Asia Conference on Information Systems (PACIS 2011), and Annual Conference of the Australian Computer-Human Interaction Special Interest Group (OZCHI 2010). Research interests:
Kinley’s research interests are Web search behaviour and user modelling,
information retrieval, human-computer interaction, user contextual factors (e.g.
cognitive styles).
